Big Tadoo Puppet Crew

The Big Tadoo Puppet Crew is an Oakland-based puppet troupe which has created and performed politically and environmentally conscious puppetry since 2002. Their current production with TransForm's Safe Routes to Schools Program is all about bicycle and pedestrian safety and has played to over 30,000 elementary school students throughout Alameda County since 2008.

    2012 Event Cancellation: Power to the Peaceful has become one of the most exciting free concerts in San Francisco, and as the organizers for this event, we are proud of what we bring to the City.  But we also have to be honest about the impact of the event’s overwhelming success: the crowd is getting bigger each year and more resources are needed to make sure everyone can enjoy the concert safely.

    While the San Francisco Recreation & Park Dept and the SFPD have been supportive of Power to the Peaceful, and its Commission approved the event in May, as we were moving forward with the event planning, we recognized the harsh reality of hosting a popular free concert, and keeping the crowd safe. We are limited with resources to pay for the cost of the production, safety & crowd impact so we decided to cancel the concert. We are on a powerful journey, and we will be back peacefully."
